Overview

During my co-op at SharkNinja I worked across the cordless vacuum line on a mix of triage, root-cause analysis, and design work.

• Root-cause analysis: reviewed and categorized Jira tickets to find the underlying causes of recurring vacuum performance issues.
• Hair-wrap reduction: designed and tested multiple solutions, consistently reaching 0–5% hair wrap in testing.
• Rear-cleaning fix: solved spitting during rear cleaning on Shark cordless vacuums, then made it more durable after the first design wore out too quickly.
• Prototype testing: ran preliminary tests on prototype and engineering builds to spot improvements early.
• Engineering support: worked hands-on with engineers to make modifications that fixed vacuum performance issues.
